Terms of Service
Draft for counsel review. This page is not a signed agreement and has not been approved by a lawyer.
Discel provides software that lets a professor grade Excel workbooks for a class. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
Accounts
Students sign up with a university email that ends in .edu and a student ID. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Professor materials
Professors keep the copyright in the workbooks, rubrics, and instructions they upload. Discel hosts those files so the class can be graded. Discel does not claim ownership of them.
Student work
Student submissions are education records for that class. Use of those records is limited to operating and grading the class, as described in the privacy policy.
Payments
Students are not charged to submit work today. If Discel later offers a paid plan, the price and refund terms will be shown before you pay. Until a paid plan is turned on, there is nothing to refund.
Limitation of liability
Discel is a grading aid. The professor remains responsible for the official grade. To the fullest extent the law allows, Discel is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for a grade, course outcome, or lost file beyond the amount paid for the service in the prior three months. If you have not paid, that amount is zero.
